VC problem

Postby spinner » Sat Sep 11, 2004 5:11 pm

I want to know why in some aircraft, their virtual cockpits get black as you pan around.

It's because they only textured the VC for the bit you look at straight ahead. And no, you can't fix it. (Inless you made the plane...)

Wrong. I had the same problem.
It's because the textures are DXT1, and your gfx card is probably having problems rendering them.

Goto MW Graphics, and download DXTBmp.
You can then use the application to convert the textures to DXT3.

I think it's a gfx card issue, try converting the textures to 8, 16 or 32 Bit and see if that helps.

Some older card's have problems when trying to render DXT textures.
