How do I add a crosswind???

Postby Auriga » Thu Mar 18, 2004 12:53 am

How do I add a crosswind of a particular speed (for example 30 knots), coming from a particular heading, and make it constant (i.e. not gusting)? FYI, I have FS2002 Pro. Thank you very much.

Click on your weather settings in setting up a flight, then on advanced weather/wind and you can set your windspeed and direction.

have fun

Also, if you want the crosswind effect to be active everywhere in the virtual world check that "Global" is selected (at the top of the screen). Alternatively you can create the crosswindhaving selected "Local" but then the effect is active only within the current airport's area. This is very useful if you want to create different weather situations along your route. You can even create different weather situations (wind, temperature, clouds) among different hights from the "Advanced weather" option.
