planes not on list

I downloaded several planes, followed in instructions for downloading, but they're not showing up on my aircraft list.  I looked in my directory and they are there, I just can't get them to show up on my aircraft list. HELP!

Can you be a little more specific?  These lines (example for B-737) in aircraft.cfg control the User Interface (UI), ie, whether they will show up on your aircraft list:

ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=737-400
ui_variation=American Airlines
