Lost a View

Postby hooterg » Sun Feb 01, 2004 2:31 pm

In FS2K2 when cycling the panel view on and off (the hot key is "w" in my setup), the first click takes out the full panel view and adds a view of the six major flight instruments across the bottom of the screen.  Another click takes out the "six" and leaves an unobstructed forward view.  One more click, and the full panel comes back.  That is, until today.  I've done something that has wiped out the view with the six instruments across the bottom.  I'm not a newbie, but I can't find a command or option to restore it.  Any help?

This view is controlled by aircraft\default\panel\panel.cfg.  Did you do anything to mess this up?

That did it.  Back in good shape.

Here's what happened:  I was moving a number of aircraft to a different folder - I didn't want to wipe them out but didn't want them in the Aircraft folder either (too many planes in the "select aircraft" option.  So I created a folder somewhere and moved some planes.  I saw the "default" aircraft and didn't think it did anything, so I moved it too.  When I restored it, the missing view came back.

I really appreciate your help.  Too bad there's no reference in MSFS Help.
