RTO/AUTOBRAKE???

Postby f-16 » Wed Oct 01, 2003 9:56 am

I can't seem to find any help on using the autobrake switch in FS2002. Can someone explain to me what the RTO is on the switch? What does RTO do when slected?
Thanks.

Thats what I thought it was. I just tried it and can't seem to get it to work when I try a abort on take off. I run the aircraft up to around 130-140kts. Then I throttle down, and see what happens. Is the RTO suposed to activate at this point? When does it?

Well, during an RTO, you will do the braking manually. The RTO-Autobrake funciton is regarded as a safety backup and only available at speeds over 85kts I believe. In some cases you will abort take-off before reaching 85kts...
If you need to execute a recected take-off (I haven't done that at all.)
