Creating Flight Plans (Non-AI)

Postby Scottler » Fri Sep 12, 2003 12:17 pm

I just read another post in the CoF forum which made me remember I wanted to ask this today.

Is there a way that you can create your own flight plans, in a waypoint to waypoint format?

For example, VATSIM has "preferred routes" for just about any destination you can imagine.

But the flight plans created in F$ aren't included in their preferred route system.

Is there a way I can create my own flight plan, by putting the directions in their preferred routes, into F$ so that I can use them?
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

If you get a list of the required waypoints you can Scott.

What you need to do is enter the start point and destination point as usual and find the route as "GPS Direct".  When FS has found the route you can drag the course line onto any VOR, marker, intersection or airport displayed on the map and it will add it to your flight plan.  Give me half an hour and I'll add some screen shots for you.
