Whenever I get a message saying "Tune to such-and-such frequency, good day," I get a list of options to contact the indicated ATC. When exactly does this happen, and what flight level are you flying?
I get this message every time ATC tells me to contact so-and-so. The ATC window tells me to (1 - or whatever) Tune to so-and-so. Just before so-and-so comes on I get the message "No messages to transmit to" (last ATC). It's not asking for a response - it just says "No messages to transmit ..."

I sometimes get this message if I have restarted a multi-leg flight where I'm not using the flight planner, but navigate to airports using GPS and VORs - the software seems to get a bit confused (a little odd to get the message that there are no messages to send to Kennedy, when you are actually 30 miles west of Heathrow!)
I think you'll find that this message just means that at that moment, there are no options available for you (remember, you can't initiate messages to ATC)
So don't worry, as soon as an input is needed from you the options will appear

I thought (Rollerball) that was what it meant. It's just strange that after about a year of flying there have never been any messages to transmit. I suppose if I were on fire and aboout to crash it would still say "No messages to transmit".
