Sound problem

when i'm in my planes, particularily any of the prop planes...my sound is ok, but there is crackeling in the engine sounds....
how can i fix this..
i have a sound blaster pro something-or-other

sounds like sparkplugs to me.
maybe a fuel filter ::) ::)

Now to help you out.
Is it all prop or just piston engine
planes? Goto the sound file and
play the sounds one at a time and
see if all of them do it , turn your bass
setting down a little!

its not the bass setting on my speakers or anything....its the sounds in general for prop planes, and some jets too.....i duno wut it is....but its annoying...

I agree with "Visitor"...it sounds an awful lot like distortion.  

Back in the days when I was doing car stereo installs, I'd ask the customer, "If you don't know what it is, then how do you know what it's not?"

it only does it with prop planes, and like 1 or 2 jets, only inside not exterior sounds...and it doesnt do it when i'm playing the sound file outside fo the game...when i'm in game flying one of the props, onyl THEN is it a little crackely
