Sound file

Postby jakob » Sat May 24, 2003 3:56 pm

Hi, I had re-installed flight simulator. I don't know if during install a sound file or something was not added because on certain airplanes that come with crew announcements, I get message saying that "sound0,sound1, sound2 ect, ect, was not installed. I have installed about 3 airplanes with panels that have crew announcements and so forth and same for all. The ding ding noise for no smoking and fasten seat belts works. Does anyone know if this is happen because of missing sound cab and what can I do to fix? Thank yu, jakob :'(

Jakob,

My suggestion would be to make sure the sound files that came with those panels are installed directly into your "Sound" folder in fs2002 rather than a sub-folder within the "Sound" folder.  When downloaded panels are unzipped directly into the fs2002 folder, these sub-folders are sometimes created, which wont allow the sound files to show up in the simulation.  This is what I've occasionally experienced when installing panels.  To get around the problem I usually unzip into a different folder and then install the components manually into fs2002.

Hopefully this helps!
