I have been thinking of trying this but don't seem to have the time. So I will tell you my thought on it. See if you want to give it a shot.
First, some downloaded acft. might not have any FX listed in the acft. cfg file so you won't see any. You can add them though by looking at acft. cfg files that do and copying lines. Can be tricky.
Anyway, adding more fx to an acft. that already has some, such as the tire smoke you are talking about. If you can't find any out there, then here is my idea.
Look in the acft.cfg file of the acft. you want to add more smoke too. See what the FX name is that is using. Now go find it in the Effects folder of your Sim. Copy and paste it somewhere so you can rename it. Say the fx file is "smoke". Rename the copied one to "smoke2". Now put this renamed one back into the Sims Effects folder. Now get back into the acft.cfg file and add the lines that pull up the original "smoke" fx. Copy and paste those lines below but rename the entry fx=smoke to fx=smoke2.
See if that does it!! Just a thought.
