AI Pilot

Postby TW » Tue May 13, 2003 11:15 am

Hi this may sound like a odd question. Is there a way that I could have my computer fly the  aircraft that I'm in   like if it were an AI aircraft? Sometimes when I'm flying I like to just sit back at times and look out the windows. I always look out my left window as soon as I'm ready to lift off the runway and start climbing. It looks like the real thing. However when I land I can't be looking out the side window and line the plane up with the runway at the same time. I always found it cool when I'm on a real flight and see everything start whiz by when the plane is only 20 or 30 feet above the runway and ready to touch down. I realize that FS2002 is designed for pilots rather than passengers. However, there are sometimes when sitting in a flight as a passenger can be relaxing after a long day at work. I did see a virtual pilot program on this site  but it looks like it  only responds  to the pilot's commands. I saw a similar software package at my local Radio Shack but it looked like the same thing. Plus I should check out the landing section of the flying lessons.

Thanks, TW

What you can do is complete your landing and park the plane...then you can do a instant replay and once the replay is playing you can switch views to whatever view you want.
Then just sit back and watch the flight... ;D

Or... you can turn the autopilot on, and for some real fun... let your six year old fly it, after that... you won't want to play passenger anymore!
