CFS2 planes in FS2002, a question??

Postby jato72 » Mon May 12, 2003 2:10 pm

Okay, I have copied my CFS2 planes into my FS2002 Pro.  They work fine.

How can I enable the GPS and radio stack panels like the other general aviation aircraft in FS2002?  Along with the radio panel, I want the autopilot to work.

Do I need to use another panel such as the Mooney?  Or can I keep the existing CFS2 panels and add the radio stack & GPS?

Thanks.

You need something like the FS Panel Studio so you can create the windows and add the guages for the GPS, radio stack, and autopilot -- they don't exist in cfs2 default planes.  Here is part of the pnl.cfg of what I did to the P38:

No radios in mine, or autopilot -- didn't want any -- but with the studio it is easy to do in either fs2k2 and cfs 2 using the guage cfs2gps.gau you can "island hop" and not get lost (I know its cheating, but there is no radio navagation in cfs)

You might like to read my Add GPS tute. http://www.simviation.com/lair/AddGPS.htm
The same principle can be used for the radio stack & other default pop-ups.
