What is the ceiling supposed to be for the Bell 47?

It took some work but I finally got it up there. I had to build some forward speed and then climb until I bled it off and repeat. The Bell 47 wouldn't hover up that high.

Helis need ground effect to work best. That is why the altitude record for a heli ain't that impressive, and its also why you can't hover, there is not enough air to remain stable.

That's pretty much how I got it up there. I kept it near the ground and followed the slope to the top. Only crashed once though.

That brings us back to the saying that "Helicoptors don't fly, they're just so ugly the ground repels them"
