Reflective textures

Postby Maccers » Thu Mar 27, 2003 9:46 am

I've just had to reinstall FS and didnt have the chance to backup anything on it :(
on the last install someone told me how to get reflective textures to work on a GeForce 4 MX card. By default, even with checkboxes set, the card would refuse to do them. Its got somting to do with changing a line in the display.cfg
Ring any bells for anyone?

I remember that there is a fix for it, but I don't know what it is

Oh Maccers, you are a silly boy, here is the answer!
Depending which card you have, add one of the following lines to your diplay.cfg file at the end of the GeForce 2 section:

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 460
[000010DE:00000170]
DriverValidate2=1

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440
[000010DE:00000171]
DriverValidate2=1

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
[000010DE:00000172]
DriverValidate2=1

And don't do it again!

Ozzy ;)
