Hi Boris,

I think zcottovision may have identified the problem in the other thread possibly.

Are you filing a VFR flightplan or an IFR one when you start the flight?

Boris;

You'll need to go to the Flight Planner and set up an IFR flight plan. I like to do it before I choose the aircraft and starting point, but you can do it after, if you want.

If you fly commercial, or large aircraft, it's standard practice to fly IFR, anyway, if you care about the realism.

Boris mate,

If you do nothing and make no requests then the atc will direct you to an intersect with the ILS.  Once you are on the ILS it will hand you over to the tower who will clear you to land.  You don't need to manually select IFR approach because effectively you did so when you filed the flight plan.

Will ;D
