Autopilot Woes

Postby Raka » Fri Mar 21, 2003 6:30 am

I'm wondering if any one else has had this problem. I've been using the B-52H Dowload and when I use the autopilot the plane starts to wing rock and skew sidewards. The autopilot keeps trying to correct the shew though.

There is no autopilot included with the download so I've been hitting the Alt key and using the autopilot from the dropdown menu at the top of the screen. It also does it with the latest download for the B-58 as well.

If I fly something with a dedicated autopilot such as the 747 everything works ok.

Any suggestions would be helpfull.
Thanks,
Raka

I have no idea what configuration the pull down menu autopilot applies, but I suspect it's incorrect for the aircraft.

If you can hang on a week or two, I'm currently doing a B52H panel that will include a functioning autopilot (amongst several dozen other things LOL).

Raka;

Not knowing how your addons are filed, I'm not sure if this will work for you, but you can try if you wish.....

Download a similar panel. Install the gauges as normal, but when you unzip the panel, create it's own folder and paste it into the "fs2002/aircraft/fsconv" folder.
(I think that's the name of the folder)
Then alias that panel from that folder to your aircraft.

I have seen where an author will make the AP in another window, that you open from the view button on the menu bar. Not often, but I have seen it. But that kind of defeats the purpose.

Have you modified your aircraft.cfg file?

If not, go to:
