Watching replays?

Postby Paz » Thu Mar 20, 2003 2:51 pm

It seems like I have seen people mention watching replays of their landings in FS2002, how can I do this? I don't see any way to watch myself land besides switching to the outside view at the last seconds before touchdown, I hate doing this, but I would love to be able to see replays of my landings.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
                           Thanks

After your touchdown, or whatever, on your toolbar at the top, click OPTIONS, then INSTANT REPLAY. It's good to pause then change to spot or tower view.
Whatever suits you. I spend allot of time looking at replays, when doing carrier landings. Good tool.

Later.

One thing you may wish to avoid is shutting down the engines before replaying. If you shut down, you'll see your plane flying with idle props (not sure what happens with the jets).

It's exactly the same with any aircraft.

The problem lies in the fact that the FS2002 replay isn't really a replay at all.

What it does is record the position of the aircraft in relation to the scenery, and then impose the current state of the aircraft into the recorded positions. There's no "film" as such, which is why you can't just extract a file and play it in Media player for example.

And the same with landing gears. The default playback time is 60 seconds. You can adjust it as you want. But, say you only want to replay the last 30 seconds of your landing. Sometimes, not always, the gears will show as being up, so your plane will land with invisible gears.
