You may be interested to note that a beginners guide to GeForce and FS tweaking has been posted one of the other main FS site's file library (begins with "a").
Look for filename: bgttv1.zip
It has gained 2900+ downloads in only 2 days.
This message is posted here as I have seen that are several threads with respect to graphics and FS performance issues and this guide has helped many - feedback has been extremely positive.
Even if you do not have a Geforce card some of the tips with respect to fs2002.cfg and certain visability settings may prove of interest to you.
