Need Help with FS Aircraft!!!

When i download an aircraft, then unzipp it my computer wont reconize the .cfg or .air files.  Do i need a special program to open these.  Please help me, i want to fly some of these cool aircraft!!!

listen.... here is what you do after you download an aircraft....:
exrtact the files to any directory on your PC.
view the read me/instructions/installation file......
