Questions on Topzone

Postby mark_111 » Wed Mar 05, 2003 4:44 pm

Hello all,

I'm very new to the world of flight sims and have just begun downloading scenery, flight, ect....

Couple of questions..

1. I saw what look to be a satellite image of Richmond, Va saying it was created by Topzone.com.  Anyway, I downloaded this thinking it would dramatically improve the scenery in Richmond but couldn't tell a difference….Is this different than a typical scenery file?

2.  Are the meshes that I read about the best way to improve scenery across a large geo area...not sure exactly what that means.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mark welcome to SimV. All meshes do is improve the geographic not visual details of the terrain, so it places things in the right place, adds missing hills etc.
Have you correctly added the Virginia scenery? I've never used it personally, but is should make a difference. Also check your settings for terrain in the display settings, you might need to up them to get a result.
