Muhammad Ali, 'The Greatest,' passes away at 74

"The Greatest" has become "The Immortal."

A three-time heavyweight champion in the ring and an undisputed cultural phenomenon outside of it, Muhammad Ali died Friday night at a Phoenix-area hospital after battling respiratory issues connected to his long-term Parkinson's disease, a family spokesman confirmed first to NBC and ABC news outlets.

Ali was 74.

That is sad news indeed.
I saw him at a distance at the CNE
in Toronto a long time ago.He was Cassius Clay then
and went on to win a gold medal at the Olympics.

How very sad, we have lost a great one here. R.I.P. Muhammed, and thanks for everything.

Not only a great boxing champion, but a cultural icon as well, and always being himself, in and out of the ring.
He brought an art to the sport of boxing. There will not be anyone like him again, truly "The Greatest."

We will miss him.
