Yogi Berra is gone, age 90, natural causes. R.I.P. Yogi, thanks for all the memories and thanks for your great Yogi-isms.

I saw this on the news this morning. Very sad. I guess it's over.

1. "It ain't over till it's over"

2. "It's déjà vu all over again."

3. "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

4. "If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else."

5. "Never answer an anonymous letter."

6. "Baseball is 90 percent mental. The other half is physical."

7. "Always go to other people's funerals; otherwise, they won't go to yours."

8. "You can observe a lot by watching."

9. "I usually take a two-hour nap from 1 to 4."

10. "A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore."

They just don't make baseball players of his caliber anymore. Thank you Yogi for all the great memories.
Say Hello to Roger Maris, Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio for me will ya?

I was a Mets fan because of Yogi Berra.

I heard a story about him on the radio in the late '70s.

True or not it went this way:

Yogi Berra, a little guy, had wanted to be a dentist. At some point in their training the aspiring dentists would work on real people who needed to save money by going to the dental school.

Yogi had a very hard time with a tough wisdom tooth extraction.

Moving around and around the patient, he ended up in kneeling over the patient and in the chair.

At some point he became aware that everyone was laughing at him. He never returned to dental school.

Lucky us. :D
