It was a day manipulated by Mother Nature as gusts of up to 45mph literally blew the Championship into next week. As the klaxon sounded at 7.32am after only 30 minutes of play, it wasn’t until 6pm that play was back underway. Credit to the patient crowds who hung around in their droves to witness the conclusion of round two.

For the third night running, it’s Dustin Johnson’s name that appears at the top of the pack. After dropping an early shot at the 14th, he managed to claw it back on 18 almost twelve hours later to regain the lead at 10-under-par.

We have a packed leaderboard, further inclement weather ahead and the first Monday finish in 27 years. Stay tuned.

(John Daly, Bubba Watson and Tiger Woods all missed the cut.)

Zach Johnson has won the Open in a 3 man playoff against Marc Leishman and Louis Oosthuizen.

Jordan Spieth missed the playoff by one stroke.
