The Atlanta Braves tomahawk chop started in 1991 during spring training in Florida. When Deion Sanders would step up to the plate local Florida State fans would start doing the chop. When the season started back in Atlanta the fans continued to do this whenever Sanders batted. The organist started carrying it over to other batters and eventually it just became the Braves' signature.
