Another goal overturned against the US....called offsides, but I didnt see an offsides and neither did the announcers...just a sad story for the US...2 overturned goals....2 important ones too.

A very lucky win for Both teams today, should be good to see who we both get after tonight's game.

Well at least one of the African teams is through! so many Kudos to Ghana and to bad for the Aussies and the Serbs

1/8th finalist matches will be England vs Germany which will lead to the exit of another "great" football nation and the U.S of A vs Ghana..... with the entire african continent rooting for Ghana. So these two matches are very hard to predict... both the usa and ghana are technically impaired but make up  for that with spirit and teamplay. Tommy vs Herman... both great teams in very bad shape.

I dont think US winning in the 91th minute was luck at all. I think it was them getting paid back for all the blown calls on them that shouldove been goals. If both of those goals counted (which they should have since they were clean) they would have had 2 wins and advanced even if they tied Nigeria.

Great come back, and by one of my favorite US players Donovan...I remember when he was the San Jose Earthquakes years ago. ;D

Well we're out... to be fair, England played badly; and some of Germany's goals were amazing, so well done Germany. ;) I sure do hope they look into that goal which actually went in though. :-?

Uruguay all the way now! ;)

Have all those "Cross of St George" Flags got to be pulled down/removed/hidden now?

...and we all go back to normal again?

Paul.... ;)... ;)..!

I'm dying for the bloke opposite me to un-nail his enormous St George Flag from the front wall of his house!.... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!
...it makes the place look untidy!

Some day America will win the World Cup.

The next day everyone in America will ask, "What's the World Cup?"

One thing to consider - more people know about the 'World Cup' than know about the 'World Series'.

Not surprising since the World Series is strictly American (and one Canadian team).

They love it in Mexico, Philippines and Japan though.

OK, just to show my complete ignorance of the subject, why when the 11 over paid ballet dancers get it wrong is it the managers fault? He is not the one who is running about kicking the ball. These highly strung "athletes" are paid a huge some would say indecent amount of money, why do they even need a manager. One would have thought that they already know how to play. After all you would not be paying them that amount if they had no idea how to kick a ball around a field and between two sticks into a net. Someone please enlighten me :-?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
