Canada USA gold medal is what the networks, the olympics and probably the majority of fans want. It'll be huge money

US mens hockey team in the gold medal game by thrashing Finland 6-1. Will Canada be there too?

Time for a little payback beating the home team for the gold!

...we'll see, but if Canada pulls the same crap as they did in their last game, they'll be limping into the finals.

What crap would that be?
A dominating and physical performance in beating the Russian's?

...dominating?...you kidding? Canada got the short end of that stick. Canada hit first, but Russia hit back, and hard. I see Staal still on the roster, but I doubt he walked away from that hit fine and dandy... (...and that was a clean hit too, unnecessary, but clean)

...and Crosby nearly got turned into a vegetable. Aye, that one was dirty, but you don't rough up Russia and not expect something like that...

...and lets not forget it was 2-1 Russia after the goalie switch, so don't forget send thank you cards to Nabokov.

Slovakia is the Cinderella team this year, and they won't be giving in easily. They beat Russia, and eliminated Sweden, so I wouldn't count my chickens just yet.

Canada stepped off the gas after 5 goals. You could clearly see by how they reduced the physicality. And it was give as good as they got. Crosby taking ovechkin out for instance. It was normal, NHL style play that the refs allowed,  Russia couldn't get into any sort of form until the Canadians eased off the hits.
Simple fact is, Canada finally found form, finally got it together and showed just how good they are. Russia got shown up. They are supposed to be the number one team in the world. They got beaten by a hugely inferior team, and struggled to beat the Czech's.
If 7-3 isn't dominant, I dont what is ;)

7-3 is not a very impressive distribution of points...

...to be honest, judging by how lazy and uncooperative the Russian forwards were, I don't think the deserved to have scored.

No doubt Canada has the most impressive offensive game in this Olympics, but that didn't do you any good against Team USA, and even the Swiss gave you guys quite a scare.

Albeit that Luongo pulled his game together, but its the little mistakes that has been costing Canada wins. The Slovakian goalie has been decent, and unless something drastic changes, I doubt Canada will get more than 5 in tonight, so Luongo has to step it up again or it might get real close.

...and once again, if Canada plays physical, the Slovakian won't hesitate to hit back. I don't think they'll win, but they have the potential (and they're just vindictive enough) to send a few Canadian players onto the injured reserved list...

...but either way, Canada has one more after tonight, facing either a fresh US team, with the best goalie in Vancouver or a humiliated Finnish team that won't be as sloppy as they were today. Tonight's game can easily determine the color of Canada's medal...if one at all.

I just received notification on my Blackberry that the Olympic Committee is revoking American downhill skier Lindsey Vonn's gold medal.

The press quote, "Olympic Committee's decision to give the Gold Medal to Barack Obama is justified because Obama is going downhill much faster."
