USAF Band

Postby Sim Nerd » Sat Dec 01, 2012 10:37 pm

Regardless of the fiscal cliff situation in D.C., the Air Force intends to slash its Band of Flight from 45 members to 15. I'm no financial expert but I think an entire band is less expensive to maintain than one squadron F-15s. Besides, the band makes a human impression wherever they perform, as opposed to the MQ-1 and MQ-9. Even in the military, the arts are the first things to go when it comes to budget cuts it seems.

They could support the full band for years for the cost of one of Obama's vacations.

Just keep Air Force One away from Ohio. I am so sick of all the TFRs that pop up when I'm planning a flight... Just one more reason I'm glad election season is over.
