A Mississippi River journey!

Postby Fozzer » Fri Sep 07, 2012 5:21 am

A new Series on British TV, documenting a journey up the mighty Mississippi River, starting in the Gulf or Mexico, and travelling 2,530 miles northwards to Lake Itasca, almost on the Canadian Border!
So, me, as always, The Intrepid Explorer, I wheel out my trusty Cessna 150 Aerobat at Grand Rapids Airport (KGPZ), and start (logically!) at the source of the river, at Lake Itasca, and follow its tortuous journey southwards, through its many flood plains and swamps, to New Orleans, finally emptying its waters into the Gulf of Mexico!
An amazing journey, which I will watch on TV, as well as exploring the various places, en-route, in my baby Cessna!

Its what "Flight Simming" is all about...EXPLORATION!... :)...!

Fozzer, you forgot your copy of 'Huckleberry Finn'! Samuel 'Mark Twain' Clemens just rolled over in his grave. ;)
Guess it's kind of difficult to read with the autopilot off though. :D
Just to be sure to listen to some Creedence Clearwater Revival.

While some of the styles of the past were questionable many of them do have their merits! 8-) 8-)
I have in my living room a 70's era Barcalounger chair in great repair...complete with lime-green upholstery.  Or is it Bud Greene upholstery? :D
Still the best of the lot to nap in! ;)
