My daughter lives near Stratford-upon-Avon. It's a beautiful old market town that relies on tourism based on what could be a myth for its prosperity. With about 3 million visitors a year it would obviously not be in the town's best interests to allow the legend of its most famous resident to be debunked.

Call me an ignorant pleb but try as I might I never understood why the plays attributed to him are so highly regarded throughout the World. I must be missing something. Sorry Mark.
