Wow..i'm surprised no one has posted anything about this movie. I don't know if there are any fans in here for the series but I saw this movie at the midnight premiere..in 3D. Pretty awesome, handsdown one of the best movies i've ever seen. The 3D glasses were pretty cool they were harry potter's glasses although i've heard that was just for the midnight premiere.

Any other thoughts for anyones that's seen it?  ;)

In just 3 days it SMASHED the box office making $169,189,427 domestically and $312,300,000 overseas...totaling out to $481,489,427 in 3 days.  :D :D :D

How old are people who watch this?

I've never seen a single one of them - even on free TV.

Aren't they based on kids/adolescents books?

It's not a kids movie.

But the books are absolutely great.

Harry Potter fandom

Studies on the fandom have shown that both children and adults are fans, despite Rowling's original marketing of the books towards children aged nine to twelve.

Sounds like she underestimated the maturity of her audience.

I'll look for the first one on TV.

Great movies all ,but I'm kind of sad for the end of them.. :'(

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

You knew there would be alot of deaths when the poster board says.."It all ends"...but the battles were great I thought, especially the ending one. Alot of twists in the end if you didn't read the books.

But i'm sad to see them go too.  :(

But...J.K. Rowling isn't done yet...

I've seen all the movies, and the last one definitely takes the cake! I enjoyed it all the way through. The battle at Hogwarts was epic! I loved how the truth unfolded in regards to Snape.

Im 54, male, and my wife & I took our 2 kids (now 22 & 18) to the new Potter flik. It was AWESOME. We've all read the books, and seen all the movies. We saw this one in 3D, and it wasn't a film, but a digital video presentation. No reel change splices, no scratches or dirt, and awesome surround sound as well as incredible digital effects. Highly recommended. :D
