Tron

If you haven't seen it yet...SEE IT!

What a cool film.  Especially for a PG film.  No cussing, no gore, just a good solid film with some KICK ARSE special effects and a bad ass soundtrack.

Daft Punk does the sound track, and they even make a cameo in the film.

I was truly impressed with the movie.  It sticks to the classic version (1982 I think) but takes today's technolgy and blows it off the screen!

I personally was disappointed, not enough story for me. The original I've got on DVD and still love, I won't be bothering with this one.

I watched Tron and Tron: Legacy on the Emirates flights I was recently on.

I think they did a superb job at updating it. The music was superb, great characters, and pretty neat racing on The Grid  ;D

Unimpressed.

These are not plot twists. They are just a crappy plot.

If you are on a 12 1/2 hour flight from Singapore to London Ozzy, you will watch anything ;D
Saying that, I rather enjoyed it.

I vaguely remember the original... but I very much enjoyed Tron Legacy. The visuals were awesome, further enhanced by Blueray.

And I watched the extras to learn that they had many of the actors from the original, in this movie. Very cool! Gotta love the Ducati at the beginning!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I think if you look for a plot in that film you're getting the wrong end of the stick. I really don't know how to explain it, the film just feels more like an experience or a thought experiment than a story.

I don't think it was intended to be a shocking plot twister, just an entertaining movie with cool effects that the family can watch together without teaching your kids new words or traumatizing them with gore.  Would I nominate it for an Oscar?  No way, but was I entertained?  Heck yeah.

Plus I'm a huge Jeff Bridges fan, and he still maintains a "Lebowski" style character in the movie  ;D
