Lone Survivor - Marcus Luttrell

It is not often you catch a Brit recommending a US Forces autobiography but this book I'd class as un-put-downable! If you can lay this down for a minute you're probably the sort of person that rapes roadkill!
I challenge anyone to underrate this superb book! Frankly if anyone in the US Forces DESERVED his Navy Cross then Marcus is my vote! I've had this a couple of days and it is only the nagging of Mrs Ozzy that I have to go to bed that has stopped me finishing it!
Rivals anything to come out of the British SF, written with humility, honesty and objectivity. And I never thought I'd say those words about a Texan ;D
Just buy it if you're interested in SF warfare or the conflict in Afghanistan. Buy it if you're not, for a superb read about a most singular man who deserves his countries highest honour!

Read this one a while ago. Definitely one of those kick-ass stories where you just wanna have a beer with the guy.

(Go Navy :))
