I always remembered her best for her part in the original version of the Film "The Blue Lagoon" which I watched at the Cinema in 1949.....

She was only 3-4 years older than me when I first saw her in the Cinema (The Blue Lagoon) in 1949, I was 15, she was 18, so I've remembered her all my life!
Very sad to see her go.
A typical English Beauty, with a perfect English accent, living in Santa Monica.

When I crossed the pond, back in '53, one of the on-board movies was "Young Bess" starring Jean, husband Stewart Granger and another beauty, Deborah Kerr.

My friends had her phone number for about a month in Santa Monica before she had it changed, not her apartment.

oh yes ,I saw it in a cable channel TCM classic Hollywood ,along with one of her b&w classic movie ,very sad
