Amelia

The movie, 'Amelia' is being released to theaters October 23rd here in the US. Is anyone planning on seeing it, either in theaters or after it is released on DVD?

I'm kind of curious about how it will be, but on the other hand worried that hollywood slaughtered yet another history story

News to me, first hearing of this right here.

Don't see movies much anymore, but this is the kind of flick that, esp. for us aviation buffs, would be wise to research online a bit to gather the known facts before going in to see it.  We all know the basic story, but there's some updates in the past decade, probably stuff that we might forget while in the theater, and yeah, ya never know how Hollywood might treat this.  Amelia Earhart deserves respect, not distortion.

There will be reviews of the movie online, might even be some already.

Thanks for the heads up.

Quite frankly, the trailers for it suck.  I hope the movie is 10X better!  Although it appears to have some great aerial shots, which is always redeeming ;D

In my honest opinion, films made, involving real, interesting people, etc, should be left to sensible, accurate, and well researched Documentaries, without any background music, special sound effects, annoying presenters, etc, etc...

NOT "Hollywood Movies"!

The same film could just as well have been made involving fictitious people, around a fictitious subject,
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.
