That was an awesome movie but it was way to long for no reason.

Of course on the bright side of it being long there is more Megan Fox. :o :D

I just got back from seeing it.  First impressions:

It wasn't TOO long.  Any longer, and I probably would have gotten a little impatient, but there really wasn't any unnecessary downtime.  I liked that the romance portion of the film wasn't too sappy, and blended well with the overall theme and pace of the movie.

SR-71!

Terminatrix!

2 1/2 hours of nonstop craziness, but I still got a giant kick out of it.

I have to say that my favorite action sequence had to be the forest part.  In the first one, having the Transformers moving about in a city sort of confuses my eyes.  I can't decide whether or not to focus on the 'bots or the cityscape for depth perception.  But in the forest, where I know that the trees are trees even when I can't focus on them precisely, makes it easier to see the robots fighting.  And I think it also has to do with the angles and POVs that Bay decided to use in this one made it easier to focus on the battles instead of the dizzying combat of the first movie.

Bay is notorious for making very flashy images that blend seamlessly with the environment, but are hard to take in because of the random camera movement and constantly shifting point of view.  This movie reduced that, but took into account that the style would be needed for this to seem like a sequel to the previous installment.

Overall I would say that this is a very good movie, with some very interesting elements thrown in.

The Decepticon microtruck trading over to the Autobots?  Too funny . . .

Saw it last week. It was entertaining. Got a kick out of seeing the decepticon Buffalo again.

Was a little disapointed when I spotted the M113 in the desert battle scene. That is definetely the worst vehicle you could ever take to a fight against alien robots.... ;D

In that situation, compared to sitting inside of that M113, you may have a better chance of survival running around in nothing but a flak vest, and your underwear... ;D

I really don't know why everyone says it's too long!

I loved the constant action and mayhem.  Felt much more like the original TV show or the animated movie than the last one did.  More stuff blowing up, more Transformers, more "wow" factor!
