Cloverfield

If you're thinking about seeing "Cloverfield", do yourself a favor. Save ten bucks, and wait for it to come on DVD. The action scenes were alright, but there was absolutely zero plot to it. I don't want to spoil it, but I don't recommend seeing it in theaters.

Okay guy, just came back from it...I rather liked it...All the acting looked very natural...Especially the helicopter scene (I won't spoil it, but if you see the movie, you'll know what I mean)...I give it a 9/10... 8-) 8-)

judging from the commercials... i was thinking "Okay... another blair witch wanna be film and its probably equally as bad"

if the whole movie is from hand held camera POV forget it, i would walk out within the first 10 minutes.

i knew there was like zero plot just from the commercials! How dumb of a commercial for a movie is this?>>>

people at a party having a good time. go out in the street and the statue of liberty's head rolls down the road and then scary announcer voice guy just says "CLOVERFIELD"

Okaaayyyy  ::) and the point of that was?

The camera work isn't too bad...It's different from other movies...Always nice to see a change IMO :D

Different it was, but I just couldn't take an hour and a half of it.

And yeah, the Huey scene was pretty kickass.

Saw it today.
It was good but not great.
I just felt that there was something missing.

some of my mates have written short reviews and said its very good, if you go in expecting what it is and not expecting something like I am Legend or War of the Worlds with million dollar camera work and special FX

want to go see it, looks very good.

Very good movie.
I liked the atmosphere to it. I think the first 20 minutes were at times annoying but very nessicary to not only build up the movie but to also make you believe what you were watching was real.
It's difficult to say this movie had no plot, because it's not really supposed to. The fact it had no name actors also helped. Take this movie at face value and you'll like it. Try to look for more and you'll be dissapointed.
