One of rock's great groups.

From Nicholas Schaffner's 'The British Invasion':

"Almost by default, [Syd] Barrett found himself fronting a group, which he rechristened 'The Pink Floyd Sound', after a pair of Georgia blues musicians named Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.  (The "Sound" soon fell by the wayside, though the band continued to be known as "the" Pink Floyd until the 1970's.")

Great....

Floyd is also part of my life. For me, it's the best rock ever made.

Yay! This friday I'm going to a tribute concert of "The Wall", played by Big Pink, by far the best local Floyd tribute band...
