I took my time getting around to watching it, obviously I'm biased towards the original series with Ricky Gervais, but I found the American version every bit as funny & well done. Dwight cracks me up!!

;D

I know it must be me but am I the only one who doesn't find 'The Office' (original series) even slightly amusing? Maybe I'm the only one prepared to admit it. ::) Ricky Gervais leaves me cold I'm afraid. I dread to think what the US version is like.

Dont worry Doug, Your not the only one.
A friend of mine really likes the guy and has tons of clips on his computer, but any time I watch them I really dont find it that funny at all.

I'm sure there are a lot of people on both sides of the fence for Ricky Gervais & The Office - it's also the same for every single comedian/comedy that there  has ever been - take Bernard Manning & Ken Dodd for example,  a lot of people say that they are both comedy legends, I think that one is just a large, sweating, racist mess & the other one just thinks that pulling a stupid face is funny - but thats just my opinion. All I know is what I like.

Please don't reply telling me why Bernard & ken are comedy legends either - I'm not interested.

Freddie Starr is c**p aswell.

Agreed on Al Murray Craig - the guy has me in stitches!! Super quick with audience participation & well educated to boot.

Cheers,

It's all about your taste in humor  :)

I like it. It's different from your typical America comedy, more than a sitcom, and less inappropriate than some of those stand ups (You know what I'm talking about!)
