comes on friday nights... the new season started yesterday with "ramming attacks"

kamikazes and German Luftwaffe pilots trained to ram allied bombers... GREAT computer animation.

all true stories broken down in slow motion so you can see the damage and action and intensity piece by piece.

For an amazing ramming a certain RAF pilot (recently deceased) attacking an Me-110 with his Hurricane over London still rates as the best IMHO ;)

Interesting series, but I find the "let's repeat everything and every animation 4786615561 times" a bit annyoing. :P

That would be a Do 17 then Mark ;) :) Dogfights is OK, but it only ever tells US pilots stories. It would be great to see some Battle of Britain dogfights, or even German Vs Russian over the Eastern front, or the air war over Malta and the desert.

What type of animation are they using?
Is it a mix between simulator & CGI?

It is really amazing looking.  :o

Dogfights is OK, but it only ever tells US pilots stories.

The new season started with "ramming attacks..."
kamikazes and German Luftwaffe pilots trained to ram allied bombers...
Pilots and air crew from both sides are interviewed (not so many of the Korean War and before remain and U.S. ones are more readily at hand).

I haven't done so myself (and I don't have broadband) but here's the link for the game.

8-)

I have my DVR set to record all the episodes.
I watched this last night and it was probably the best yet.
Jets that are dogfighting.
The most recreation I have seen to date and it was great. here is the next showing on this episode!

Dogfights : Desert Aces
Airs on Thursday August 16 11:00 PM
The Israeli air force mastered the use of the Mirage III over decades of intense air combat with its neighbors. Go into battle with Israel's ace of aces, Giora Epstein as he takes on a swarm of Egyptian MiG-21s in one of the most thrilling dogfights of the jet age. State-of-the-art computer graphics are used to recreate famous battles. First-hand accounts, rare archival footage and original shooting will make the viewer feel like they're in the battle facing the enemy.
