Though technically really nice.. I feel nothing with it. IMHO it lacks feeling and from the vid I think most of the crowd share my feelings

Interesting stuff.
Reminds me a little of Dream Theater.

The guitarist is fast and unique, but a bit too technical IMHO.

Cool stuff though.
Do you have a link to their site or info on any CD's available.
I might want to give a listen to more of them.

Liquid Tension Experiment was a little sideproject of John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, Jordan Ruduss (who joined Dream Theater after Derek Sherinian left) and Tony Levin (you might know him as the bass player for Peter Gabriel). Their 'official' website is http://www.yesiknow.com/lte/ but it's outdated as LTE was a limited project.

If you like this kind of music you might also want to check G3, which is basically Joe Satriani and Friends. This year he takes John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert (former Racer X and Mr. Big guitarist ) with him on the road. Check out the G3 website at http://www.satriani.com/G3/.

All the Dream Theater members have a vast array of side projects; check them out at http://www.dreamtheater.net/disco_projects.php. I have a couple of these side projects on CD but I was amazed by Transatlantic which features Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse (Spock's Beard), Pete Trewavas (Marillion) and Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings).

Before Transatlantic the first MullMuzzler album blew me away. It's James LaBrie's band which features Mike Keneally from the Frank Zappa Band and Mike Mangini whom you may know from Steve Vai, Extreme and/or Annihilator.

G3 is awesome indeed! I have the cd's of Denver, Tokyo and your 1996 concert. also got the tokyo DVD. Red House by Johnson,Vai and satriani is one of my top 5 favorite songs. Though I like Jimi's electric church red house alot as well!

I was able to get right up front, my bloody arms were on the stage floor when Satriani came out on stage with the fog and he had his shades on.
He was right in front of me! It was awesome!

Satch is so cool and he has such a nice tone. I play guitar because of him I already played my father's acoustic now and then but then a friend let me listen to 'Flying in a Blue Dream'. It is still my favourite Satriani song. I played that song so much ... I think I can even play it backwards

Soon after Satch I learned about Steve Vai and he amazed me even more ... I liked his music so much that I bought one of his signature Ibanez Universe guitars and when he played with G3 in Ahoy - Rotterdam I had him sign it. Very memorative event ...

But I John Petrucci is truly amazing too ... when I first heard Dream Theater's 'Images and Words' I wanted to quit playing guitar, but I'm glad I didn't
