There are some artists (actors, musicians) whose passing seems to affect us more than we'd like. You know that

We have lost so many talented artists before their time but the one that most affected me was Buddy Holly - killed in that plane crash on February 3, 1959. I was 16 at the time & could not believe the newspaper headlines. My hero was dead.

Clip, you should listen to Doyle Bramhall.  He was a major influence for the young Stevie Ray, even spending a lot of time at his house.  It's easy to see where Stevie got his licks from...  ;)
