The super bowl snickers ad has been pulled in response to outcry from the Gay & Lesbian community.

man some people take things so seriously - i thought it was funny.

for those of you unfamiliar with the ad

2 mechanics are working on a car engine when one pulls a snickers bar out and puts it in his mouth and throws away the wrapper... the candy bar is now hanging out of his mouth like a cigar.

the second mechanic stares at the candy bar in a trance like state for a second and then starts eating on the other end of the candy bar.

the two mens lips meet in the middle of the candy bar "Lady and the Tramp" style and the two men react by stepping away from each other quickly.

"Dude..." one of the men says "i think we just accidentally kissed!"

"Quick..." the other says "do something manly"

and they both rip open their shirts and tear off a hand full of chest hair while screaming from the pain.

the end.

 That was the best commercial during the Super Bowl!!

 If anybody took offence of that commercial they need to get a real life!!

When I saw the thread title, I was certain that it was some antigay group that had made a fuss...
Just goes to show that uptight fussbudgets come in every stripe and persuasion...

No sense of humor... or maybe they were disappointed when the commercial didn't end with the two guys strolling off into the sunset hand in hand, or maybe shopping at Pottery Barn together...

Why are so many people convinced they are not respected members of Society until their kind is thoroughly validated on TV? Don't they realize that TV is merely  the  toilet bowl of the collective unconscious?

It's like the gay marriage thing... I always assumed half the fun of being gay was not being under pressure to get married and have kids.

Brilliant, must check youtube for that one. Here n the UK they have just banned a Snickers advert too............in case it encourages children to eat and get fat, so it has to be shown after 21:00, when all the UK's children have naturally gone to bed.  :P

i came up with a list of super bowl commercials and the reasons they should all be pulled as viewed from various special interest groups.

here it is:

Blockbuster video commercial: The rabbit attempting quite savagely to use the mouse as if he were a computer "mouse" blatantly promotes animal cruelty.

Budweiser Commercial: The crabs worshiping the cooler filled with bud light as an idol is an insult to religions around the world.

Budweiser Commercial: The butcher shop owner runs off the stray dog who then gets splashed with mud is promoting cruelty to homeless animals.

Budweiser Commercial: The ad featuring an axe wielding hitch hiker is blatantly insensitive to those persons who have been victims of violent crimes committed by hitch hikers.

Bud Light Commercial: The English class for immigrants where the immigrants are instructed in various "street" dialects how to ask for a bud light is insulting to pretty much every race ever.

Beer commercial: Everyone in the commercial is slapping each other for no real reason, this promotes pointless violence and is likely to result in children slapping each other in order to emulate the commercial.

Beer commercial: the ad with the gorillas where one gorilla explains a plan to steal beer from a passing beer delivery man but the other gorilla cannot hear him is insensitive to the hearing impaired.

Bud Light commercial: The groom at the wedding wants to zoom thru the wedding to get to the beer drinking so he hires an auctioneer as a priest this is an insult to the holy covenant of marriage.

Beer commercial: Two men, one neatly dressed and one wearing more "grunge" like clothing grab the last beer at the party at the exact same time and play rock paper scissors for the beer on the count of three. upon reaching the three count the well dressed boy throws an actual rock at the other mans head knocking him out, he then takes the beer. this promotes violence against lower middle class persons as committed by upper middle class persons.

Beer commercial: Two men are playing a chess-like holographic football game and on the winning field goal kick a woman leans in and blows the ball off course causing her boyfriend to win. this promotes cheating and is a bad, unhealthy role model for children.

God... what is the world coming to??  ::)  ::)  ::)
