I saw Letters From Iwo Jima last night

I can see why. The movie was very good. I enjoyed the cinimatography and CGI. You can see the trajectory of shells landing and all the strikes on Surabachi. I was impressed. Also the slightly washed-out color worked for me too. Though the movie is rated R, it could have been PG-13, in my opinion. In spite of the subject matter, there are many more violent movies than this. I also liked how the movie was able to wax poetic even though it's about the very brutal battle of Iwo Jima.
In my opinion, as someone who spent most of his life studying the Pacific War, it seems very accurate, though I had one minor problem regarding accuracy. It was minor, I think most people wouldn't notice it. But in my opinion, this movie gets 3 1/2 out of 4 stars.
