.....well, the 1st review I've yet seen. Anyway, the review was quite positive. And there will be a companion Japanese perspective that will be released next year called "Letters From Iwo Jima". Brilliant! I want to see both!

I have been eagerly anticipating this film and plan on seeing it on the 20th when it is released. Not ever any film I plan on seeing in the theater but this is one of them!
I am staying away from reading any review, movie reviewers are biased and naive the same as those who give out awards. Think about it when a majority of professional critics give thumbs down to Star Wars and it becomes like the greatest film of all time, that has a lot to say about thier credibility.
Anyway if this movie holds true to the book it should be a awesome film and a important one to see.
I too also hope for the release of the "Japanese side" to be shown in the US, should give us all a better perspective of what really happened.
