i think i found an answer

Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Because the letters of the "Hollywood" sign are on a hill with an uneven, undulating surface, they're not all in the same plane. This means that from some angles it really does look as though the sign says "OHLLYWODO".

I am - look at the relative heights of the "O" and the "H" and you'll see the "H" is obviously further away...

Matt

The biggest goof about that movie was associating it to the Italian Job. If it wasn't for the fact it was called the Italian Job. And the constant references to the Italian Job in it then it would have been an awful, but at least acceptable, film.
