I believe our Freddie had been ill for some time so this was not exactly unexpected. Auntie Beeb seems to be having problems with his age. The page from your link says he was 69 & the nice lady newsreader on BBC Radio 2 says he was 65. I think the nice lady is right. http://www.classicbands.com/dreamers.html
