MP3 and M4A

What are the KBPS equivalents?  That is to say a M4A in 128 KBPS is equal to an MP3 in _ ?  And so on.

Well they don't really have equivalents, but more rather things in the way of 'in 96 KBPS M4A/AAC sounds better than MP3'...etc.

But there's got to be a certain threshold where they about match up.

I've got a MP4 in 128, but I have no real idea of what KBPS to encode it in MP3.  Of course I could just encode it at 320 and be done with it, but that's just wasting disk space.

PS: Then again, with 500GB, why am I complaining about space?

Lol well I think it's probably possible for one to say that an MP3 at 192kbps is the same as an M4A at 160kbps, but then again that's a very crude description; you really can't say when they're about equal (as the difference is very minor).  :)
