Does anyone like them? I've been wondering for a while now why anyone would. I mean seriously, what is the attraction? To me, it just sounds like they don't know how to make music. Maybe it's just a matter of opinion, but a bad musician is a bad musician.

A one hit wonder, is an artist who has only one big song that makes the charts. Or that sells well. The white stripes have had a couple of big hits around the world, I am not a big fan, but they arn't really one hit wonders.

White Stripes? Pure class... There music sounds simple enough, but isn't at all! It's captivating to me! One of the best bands around at the moment! How many other groups can produce such music with there limited resources?

I do remember hearing them for the first time, thinking, what the heck is that? But it grows if you relisten a couple of times...

I never found the appeal.  I never really felt compelled to learn more about them.  However, I do wish someone with a better voice would do a cover of Seven Nation Army. :)

Jack Johnson actually did a cover of one of their songs. I don't find him all that appealing either, but I thought it was better than the original. I don't know the name of the song though.

They are spoiled kids. Last summer they played live in Greece. They appeared late (more than 30 minutes). They played 2 songs and they stopped complaining about the tent that was above the scene (they did not like it). So, the technicians removed it (another 30 minutes delay). They climbed the stage again and they played two more songs and then they stopped again complaining about the other tent that was on back of the stage. The technicians removed that too (more delay). Finally, after two hours from the scheduled concert start time they announced that they felt sick and were unable to continue.

People paid their money and stayed there for more than three hours just to listen to 4 songs.

No need to say after that they are anything but loved in Greece.

P.S. I don't like their music either.
