I want to know what you people think of dreamtheater. For one, I think their the best band in the world. All the members are one of the best in the instrument they play.

And with their new cd, octavarium. I think you can see what I mean. They rock harder that life itself. Literaly.

 Collectively they are one of the most talented groups out there, that is why you never hear about them, they play "too many notes" for most mainstream music fans.  

saw part of a dVD at a friends place last week and was quite impressed  8)

I've got tickets to see them in October

cool, might be there too. same mate that showed me the DVD asked if I wanted a ticked  ;D

DT has a new CD?

Well... obviously they are very good musicians, but... does that make a good band? I don't think so. To me their music lacks emotion and I think that emotion is the most important thing in music. I like listening DT once in a while though. And it always amazes me!

There are better bands of that kind out there.

 Porcupine tree is awesome, Opeth is a very interesting mix of styles, the other two I'll have to look into.

And the best thing is: I'm going to see them ( together with Oceansize) on the 21st.  :D
