techniques (guitar)

I've been looking for time to practise for ages and now that college is over for 3 months I've got it  8), so does anyone have any advice on "two hand tapping"?, I get the basic idea I think but it just dosn't seem to be comming together  ::)

 I never really got into all the fancy techniques, I can play a solo and do a little tapping here and there but as far as the full scale two-hand-tapping, you really have to know your stuff to make that sound good, that is playing beyond my skills.

I never set out to actually learn any specific types, I just play around with my guitar until I can do something that sounds good, then I try to add on to it.. ;)

its more for some EVH stuff I want to try but right now its the 2nd solo in "Crazy Train". :

 That doesn't look that bad, just work at it, after a few times it will be easy.

Can't play that on my guitar... comfort zone stops at #12, with some 5 frets after that on the body.

it's really quite easy.

The thing is I'm having trouble getting it to sound loud enough, this section always comes over slightly muted when I play it  ::)
